Joseph Adashek, MD, FACOG

Dr. Adashek is rated among the top 1% in the nation, in the field of Perinatology, by US News and World Report.  Dr. Adashek is an award-winning and widely published physician. He has also received numerous awards as an outstanding and contributing member of his community.

Dr. Adashek received his undergraduate degree at the University of California Los Angeles and holds a Doctor of Medicine from Pennsylvania State University. He performed his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Northwestern University and was awarded a Fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of California Irvine. He has served in many hospital  leadership positions and is currently the Director of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at both Summerlin Hospital Medical Center and Southern Hills Hospital.  Dr. Adashek is currently Associate Clinical Professor of the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and is an instructor at Touro Unversity.

Dr. Adashek is a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is sub-specialty board certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine in both California and Nevada. He co-owns Desert Perinatal Associates in Las Vegas, Nevada and integrated a pregnancy spa and wellness center into his practice for continuity of care for his patients.

Dr. Adashek serves on numerous committees for many local organizations.  He was selected by the Governor of the State of Nevada to serve on the State Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee for the past 6 years and on the State Board of Oriental Medicine for one term. He is Chairman of the Community Health & Public Relations Committee which is responsible for the education of the community and physicians throughout Clark County. He is also the current President-Elect for the Clark County Medical Society where he has been a trustee for the past seven years.

Dr. Adashek is a highly acclaimed doctor in the field of Maternal-Fetal Medicine.  US News and World Report, Vegas Seven, Desert Companion, Las Vegas Life and more have voted Dr. Adashek as a “Top Doctor” in Las Vegas year in and year out.  In 2015 he was awarded the Inspired Excellence in Healthcare award by the Las Vegas HEALS organization.  In 2016, along with his wife, Sharon, he was honored by Planned Parenthood for his outstanding work with women.

Dr. Adashek has a passion for helping others and a love for piloting.  As Co-Director with Dr. Paul Wilkes for Jalen’s Gift Foundation, a local nonprofit organization, he is able to work with families that have suffered a pregnancy or infant loss by providing support, comfort, and hope.  He also does work with Angel Flight West, another nonprofit organization. He transports patients that are traveling for surgery, chemotherapy, dialysis, or other medical treatments for free in his personal airplane.

Paul T. Wilkes, MD, FACOG

Dr. Wilkes received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine University. He earned his Doctor of Medicine and performed post-graduate work in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, where he received numerous honors and awards for academics and research. Dr. Wilkes has served as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Nevada and as an Instructor/Fellow in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. In addition to being widely published in respected medical journals and lecturing nationally on perinatal topics, he is a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners and board certified with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Wilkes is also board certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine.

Dedicated to serving his community, Dr. Wilkes serves on the Board of Directors for 2 local foundations. The Patrick Kelly Youth Foundation strives to help underprivileged children achieve their educational goals by awarding bicycles and helmets to young students, as well as college scholarships for deserving high school seniors. Jalen’s Gift Foundation is changing how families cope with pregnancy and infant loss through financial assistance with memorial services, as well as providing emotional grief support services to those in need. As a true philanthropist, Dr. Wilkes also donates his time and medical care to the women of Safe Nest and Shade Tree; local domestic violence shelters.

Van Reid Bohman MD, FACOG

Dr. Bohman is an award-winning clinician and researcher.  He is a native of Nevada and is a graduate of the University of Nevada School of Medicine.  He did his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. During his time at Baylor College, they delivered more babies than any other program in the United States.  Dr. Bohman followed his residency with a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern.

Dr. Bohman has presented and published a number of papers that encompassed infectious diseases, metabolic disorders, and substance abuse.  He has recently completed a study that showed by supporting the posterior pelvic floor that cesarean rates can be markedly decreased. Dr. Bohman is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine; he is licensed to practice in both Nevada and Texas.

Dr. Bohman has delivered hundreds of multi-fetal pregnancies and actually delivered the longest carried sextuplets ever in the United States. He is the Department Chair in Maternal Child Services at St. Rose Siena. Dr. Bohman feels the mantra of his care is to have a warm, friendly relationship with his patients, treating them as if they are best friends working together to bring about the best outcome for each pregnancy.

Dr. Bohman married his childhood sweetheart; they have 6 children and 8 grandchildren.  He is active in his church and works extensively with the youth there.  His recreational endeavors include anything outdoors. Send email

Donald L. Roberts, MD, FACOG

Dr. Roberts celebrates over 20 years in helping women with their high-risk pregnancies and providing excellent care so they achieve the best outcome for both moms and their babies.  He is board certified in both Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology.  He has been active in research, lectures and providing medical care to the underserved areas of Las Vegas.

Dr. Roberts received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1983 from Weber State University. He went on to complete his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in 1993.  After practicing general Obstetrics and Gynecology in Las Vegas for two years, he went on to pursue his passion in caring for women with high-risk pregnancies.

He completed his Fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of California San Diego.  While in San Diego, Dr. Roberts presented research in Gestational Diabetes and ultrasound prediction of Shoulder Dystocia.  At the completion of his fellowship, he was granted the resident teaching award.

Following his Fellowship, he returned home to Las Vegas where he worked for several years at the University of Nevada School of Medicine at UMC Hospital.  Dr. Roberts served as both Chairman of the OB/GYN department at the School of Medicine and the Chief of the UMC Department of OB/GYN.  He trained young doctors and students to become excellent physicians at the OBGYN residency program; many of whom still practice in the Las Vegas area.  Dr. Roberts won several awards, including the CREOG outstanding teaching award in OB/GYN.  Research interests during that time included preeclampsia and diagnosis of early IVF pregnancy by ultrasound.  His favorite lectures for the medical students and residents were Preterm Labor, Teratogen Exposure, and Obstetrical Emergencies.

Dr. Roberts had a successful private practice from 2008-2011.  In 2011, Dr. Roberts joined the great team of doctors at Desert Perinatal Associates.  He serves on many local hospitals OB/GYN committees.

Dr. Roberts continues to teach residents and students as Assistant Professor at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and Touro University.  He also provides medical care to the indigent high-risk patients at Nevada Health Centers, where he has helped them since the days of his own residency.

Dr. Roberts is married to an OB/GYN physician and he is the father of five great children.  He loves traveling with his wife, snow skiing, running and time by the beach.  Send email

Sean Keeler, MD, FACOG

Dr. Keeler received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Scranton. Following graduation, he was commissioned an officer in the United States Navy and awarded a full scholarship through the Federal Health Professions Scholarship Program to attend MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Keeler completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, PA. He was awarded the Pennsylvania State University, Hershey Medical Center Award for Humanism and Excellence in Teaching. He also was recognized by his peers, receiving two teacher of the year awards. He then was awarded a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at New York University, where he trained under and was mentored by world-renowned ultrasonologist, Ilan Timor-Trisch, M.D. Dr. Keeler consistently received teacher of the year awards throughout his three-year fellowship program. Dr. Keeler is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

Following fellowship training, Dr. Keeler served four years on active duty as a Lieutenant Commander at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth as the Division Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. During this time, he was an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences’ F. Edward Herbert School of Medicine. Dr. Keeler was awarded the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics & Gynecology National Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching. After his active duty commitment was complete, Dr. Keeler was awarded the prestigious Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for distinguishing himself with meritorious service to our country.

Dr. Keeler has a strong interest in clinical research in preterm labor and cervical insufficiency. He has authored seventeen original manuscripts and two book chapters, including multiple Editor’s Choice Awards in the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Dr. Keeler is married and is the proud father of three beautiful daughters. He brings extra compassion to his practice of Maternal-Fetal Medicine as two of his wife’s pregnancies were extremely high-risk. Dr. Keeler supports the March of Dimes and The Promise Walk for Preeclampsia (invited guest speaker 2015 NJ walk). Dr. Keeler was also elected to The Board of Directors of the Unforgettables Foundation of Southern Nevada.
